The mission of this Academic Showcase is as follows:
- Identify the top student-athletes on the Western United States and collect their information
for our Academic Database - Connect student-athletes with the academic schools based on basketball ability, GPA and
SAT scores. - Create role models for our younger players by recognizing and promoting our top student-
athletes
Showcase Agenda
 | GPA, SAT, Height, Level of interest and scouting report will be entered into Western United | |
| State only Academic Database. Database will be shared with top academic universities including all Ivy League schools. Database will also be given to west coast scouting services. | ||
| Games will be recorded and available on the website. | |
| Academic All Tournament team will be selected by local media and Academic All West Staff | |
| Each Camper will participate in 2-3 games (Equal playing time for all) | |
| Specific position drills will be provided and recorded for coaches to view. | |
| Each camper will receive a camp jersey | |
| SAT Guidelines and NCAA Clearinghouse information will be provided | |
| Prep School opportunities/information will be provided | |
| Academic Index information provided (used by many top academic schools including all Ivy | |

| Discuss Financial Aide opportunities. Ivy League and many top Academic schools do not | |
| offer athletic scholarships | ||
| Tournament article will be displayed on Rivals.com network | |
| Recruiting strategies for attracting Academic Schools will be discussed in our workshops. | |

Basketball players who excel in the classroom have a greater chance of qualifying for the top
academic schools in the country. Through basketball, they can get into a school that otherwise
would be impossible when they are compared solely on academics. But these schools need
help in identifying those players. These schools don’t have the time or budget to travel all
over the country recruiting players that may not qualify. They have to be 100 percent sure a
student-athlete will qualify and our camp will help them identify those prospective student-
athletes. Our camp is designed to assist in connecting the student-athlete with the top
academic schools.
